Banked Biospecimens

Biological samples from the MURDOCK Study Community Registry are stored in a state-of-the-art Biorepository. Nearly 450,000 annotated samples are now banked from more than 12,000 study participants from Kannapolis/Cabarrus County and the surrounding region.

Registry Data Collected

In addition to biological samples, the Community Registry includes data from baseline and follow-up questionnaires. The table below provides a summary of the information that is collected from the baseline questionnaire.

Annual follow-up data collected from each study participant include any changes to medical conditions collected during his/her enrollment visit into the MURDOCK Study in addition to hospitalizations, medications, and patient-reported measures (PROMIS®) .
