The MURDOCK Study has been structured into four distinct, yet overlapping, horizons. Each horizon marks a unique step in the achievement of the overall MURDOCK Study goals. The studies encompassed by Horizon 1 were completed in 2011 and results are in the process of being published. Horizon 1.5 boasts over 12,000 participants and studies associated with Horizon 2 are ongoing efforts, while Horizon 3 studies will begin at a future date, yet to be specified.
Although the four horizons of the MURDOCK Study may represent different steps in the investigative process, they are designed to complement and reinforce one another, constantly progressing towards our goal of developing a better understanding of human disease.
